Gruber Law Attorneys Eric Knobloch and Ryan Grych Obtains $1.25 Million Settlement
Prior to trial, the parties stipulated to liability and the amount of the client’s past medical bills. Over defense objection those numerical amounts were left off the verdict form completed by the jury. The jury was posed with just two questions: a fair and reasonable amount to compensate the client for past pain, suffering and disability, and a fair and reasonable amount to compensate for future pain, suffering and disability. After approximately 45 minutes of deliberations, the jury returned a verdict awarding a combined $1,000,000 in pain and suffering ($300,000 for past; $700,000 for future).</p>
<p style=”text-align: center;”>Attorney Knobloch and the trial team did an excellent job overcoming the Defendant’s attempt to minimize the client’s injuries and the tremendous impact this crash has had on her life. Attorney Knobloch specifically noted: “Our client was a very nice, deserving hard-working woman who had something terrible happen to her due to no fault of her own. It was an honor representing her and her family in this difficult process. We appreciated the jury intently listening to the evidence, understanding the significance of the injuries, and awarding what it felt was a fair amount. We are pleased with the result, and happy for our client to have the resources to hopefully help put this event behind her.”
